Luvfurmutts would like to express our sincere appreciaton to Noah's Ark Animal Clinics for the fantastic care they give our rescue animals.  They treat them as if they love them as much as we do, are always loving, compasionate and some times seem to preform miracles on the many abused and neglected dogs they treat for us.  Please visit them on the web at   http://www.noahsarkanimalclinics.com

On May 3rd the building housing the Pendleton Humane Society had 40 dogs and 6 cats and was to be flooded by midnight.  21 found shelter in Falmouth.  Brent Caldwell of the Grant County, Ky Animal Shleter, organized volunteers and moved 19 dogs to Breezy Acres, a boarding kennel in Anderson.

Breezy Acres opened their doors and their hearts to these dogs and are working very hard to take care of them while we seek homes for them.  Breezy Acres has very reasonable rates for boarding and beautiful walking trails full of nature.  In 2007, the property was certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a
Certified Wildlife Habitat.™ We were so surprised to find a boarding facility with it's charm and nature trails in this age of mega chain boarding facilities full of concrete and parking lots. Instead of grass and trees. You can visit them on the web at http://www.breezyacres.com/  Breezy Acres kept these 19 dogs a month until they could be gotten into rescues and shelters

We would to thank Girl Scout troop #49236 for holding the dog show last Saturday May 1st in Schappacher park. All proceeds went to local shelters. As you will see from the video's this are very talented, responsible, well mannered girls who really care about shelter animals and giving back to their community.  It was a fun day for every human and dog who attended.

Despite the windy, chilly day a good time was had by all.  Twenty rescues came together to network, exchange ideals and unite to help homeless animals.   Special thanks to Carolyn Evans of dogphographer.com for the excellent pictures she took of our rescue dogs.  They truly show how talented she is at capturing the spirit and personality of the dogs with her camera.  You can see our dogs by clicking on this link scroll down till you see the luv fur mutts dogs.
